Letter – How long will it take?

When are people going to learn that choices have consequences? I know so many people who claim to be pro-life, but don’t have a clue what it takes to change the abortion laws or maybe don’t care.

To the editor:

When are people going to learn that choices have consequences? I know so many people who claim to be pro-life, but don’t have a clue what it takes to change the abortion laws or maybe don’t care.

I’ve recently heard many people, so-called Christians, who are concerned now about the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which could reverse almost every bit of progress made by pro-life groups over the last 35 years. These same people voted for President Obama, who has repeated many times during his campaign that he would overturn all the pro-life proposals advanced by President Bush. Listen, Charlie Brown, now is too late. You should have thought about that before you voted for the party that repeatedly votes pro choice. President Obama is now in charge and has the right to try advancing his agenda, which he will more than likely do.

How long is it going to take before people realize that voting DFL is going to keep abortion legal forever? When is the life of an innocent child going to take precedence over the economy and all the other problems we have? When you’re on your death bed, what do you think will be more important – your financial status or how you treated the abortion issue?
