Crash near Osakis Wednesday injures two from Sauk Centre

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon near Osakis sent two Sauk Centre residents to the hospital.

A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon near Osakis sent two Sauk Centre residents to the hospital.

The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. January 28. According to the state patrol, a vehicle driven by Jamie Tanner, 21, of Atwater, was westbound on the exit ramp for Osakis and failed to stop at the stop sign on Highway 127.

The vehicle reportedly turned northbound and struck another vehicle that was headed southbound on Highway 127, according to the state patrol.

The driver of the southbound vehicle was Deborah Gill, 18, of Sauk Centre. Gill and her passenger, Catherine Gill, 50, also of Sauk Centre, were transported via North Ambulance to Douglas County Hospital.

Both of them were treated and released.

Tanner, along with his passenger, Michael Malvin, 22, of Atwater, was reportedly not injured.

All four people involved in the crash were wearing their seat belts.
