Girls' basketball: Panther girls top Rockets, Comets

The Parkers Prairie girls’ basketball team outlasted Underwood in a defensive-battle last Friday night, winning 44-37.

Sari Noga accounted for more than half of the Panthers’ offense against the Rockets. Noga had 25 points, while also grabbing 12 rebounds to lead her team to the win.

It was an off night offensively for Parkers Prairie. Only four players scored. Kaesha Marlow scored nine with three three-pointers in the game. Kaylee Dorn added six points and Krista Alberts chipped in with four.

That was enough to pick up the win, though, as the Panthers kept within one game of undefeated Brandon-Evansville in the Little Eight Conference.

Noga scored 28 in the first half to lead her team to a 19-point lead at the break. Her 19 in the final 18 minutes were more than enough to secure her team’s 13th victory of the season.
