The Central Lakes Concert Association (CLCA) is proud to announce its next performance – Joe Trio.
The concert will take place Monday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the gym at Jefferson High School.
Organizers say this is a great opportunity to enjoy the wonderful repertoire of the classics, new works by contemporary composers and the musicians’ own arrangements of popular, jazz and rock tunes.
Members of Joe Trio include Allen Stiles on piano, Cameron Wilson on violin and Charles Inkman on cello.
Since Joe Trio was formed in 1989, this classically trained trio has presented concerts throughout Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland and in the United States from Washington to Maine.
In 1997, the group recorded its first CD, A Cup of Joe; and in 1998-1999, the Joe Trio brought its unique program to audiences throughout eastern Canada and the southern United States.
The group’s second album – Set ‘em up Joe – was recorded with CBC in 2001, and it was nominated in the Best Classical Performance category at the West Coast Music Awards.
According to CLCA, the Joe Trio is not only virtuosic, the members are fantastic performers who like to engage the audience in a way few classical musicians can.
Amply witty, charming and tremendously musical, Joe Trio leaves audiences with a new appreciation of classical music.
