A Glenwood man remains hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 29 and Dakota Street near Doolittle’s restaurant in Alexandria last Thursday. Vern Maanum, 81, was transported to the Douglas County Hospital with possible head injuries after his Ford pickup (bottom photo) collided with another shortly after 10 a.m. He was listed in stable condition Tuesday morning. Timothy Lang, 23, of Alexandria, was driving the second vehicle, a 2001 Chevy Silverado (top photo), which was pulling an enclosed trailer. Lang reported possible injuries, but was not transported to the hospital, according to the report. Assisting the Alexandria Police Department at the scene were the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
