Phyllis Irene Schlosser, 73, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, January 16, 2009 with her three children at her side.
Phyllis was born December 6, 1935 in Wadena to Merl and Florence (Lane) Brink. In 1954 she was united in marriage to Donald Wark and had five children, Duane, Beatrice, Wesley, Jeanie and Jackie. Phyllis and Donald were together 24 years. In 1993 Phyllis married Philip Schlosser of Carlos. Phyllis and Philip were together for 15 years.
Phyllis’s interests were her family, her church, playing the accordion, and throughout her life – horses. Let’s not forget her flower garden, which brought her joy each day.
Phyllis was loved by all. She always put the need of others before her own and for that she will always be cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Florence Brink; husband, Donald Wark; children Duane and Beatrice; and husband, Philip Schlosser.
Left to carry on her memory are her brothers, David Brink and Harold Brink; and her three youngest children.
The surviving children would like to express their thanks to the Douglas County Hospice staff for their great support.
The viewing and services were held at First Baptist Church of Parkers Prairie on Tuesday, January 20 with the Rev. Robert Deugan officiating. Carol Nelson was the organist and Jeanie Deugan was the soloist. Elaine Smith played the accordion. Interment was at Inman Cemetery near Henning. Casket bearers were John Titcomb, Ken Bottman, Darwin Brechbiel, Wayne Rediehs, Scott Kiemle and Don Carlson.
