Slumberland brightens holidays
Slumberland in Alexandria is participating in its 13th annual special program to provide beds to needy families in the community during this holiday season.

Slumberland employees worked with the Caring and Sharing Room, sponsored by St. Mary’s Church and Knights of Columbus, and Joe Shimota, who coordinated the effort of volunteers to deliver beds to people in need on December 13.
Slumberland in Alexandria is participating in its 13th annual special program to provide beds to needy families in the community during this holiday season.
Through the “Making Homes for the Holidays” program, Slumberland Furniture stores across six states will work with local charities and social service organizations to donate and deliver bed sets to families in need.
Since its inception in 1995, the program has donated more than 4,500 new beds, including mattress, box spring and frame, to hundreds of needy families.
On December 13, Slumberland employees joined community volunteers to load and deliver these new beds.
