After months of meetings and countless hours crunching the numbers, Douglas County certified Tuesday its 2009 property tax levy and annual budget.
After months of meetings and countless hours crunching the numbers, Douglas County certified Tuesday its 2009 property tax levy and annual budget.
In their final meeting before the New Year, county commissioners set the final levy at $21,910,347 – a 7.39 percent increase over 2008 – and the budget at $48,314,491 – a 22.34 percent jump over the 2008 budget.
