The Brandon Township Board of Supervisors has voted to withdraw from the Central Lakes Region Sanitary District.
The vote – taken at the board’s regular monthly meeting Monday night – was 2-1.
The decision was based on a pledge by the Big Chippewa Whiskey Devils (BCWD) sewer stoppers to help develop a county- managed inspection and enforcement program of existing septic systems.
See Friday’s Echo Press for details of this latest development surrounding the CLRSD project.
