Maxson Linwood Hagen, first born son of Dustin and Trisha (Leonard) Hagen, died peacefully in his mother’s arms on Friday, December 5, 2008.
Maxson Linwood Hagen, first born son of Dustin and Trisha (Leonard) Hagen, died peacefully in his mother’s arms on Friday, December 5, 2008. Maxson was with us several hours, surrounded by friends and family. We thank and praise God for that time. Maxson will be deeply missed. We take comfort knowing he is with our Lord and Savior. Maxson’s mom and dad did a beautiful job journaling Maxson’s incredible journey (may be viewed at ourmiraclemax.blogspot.com).
His funeral service was held Saturday, December 13 at New Hope Wesleyan Church in Williston. Pastor Tom Karp officiated and interment was at Garden of Angels Section of Riverview Cemetery in Williston.
Maxson is survived by his parents, Dustin and Trisha (Leonard) Hagen of Williston, ND; maternal grandparents, Ernie and Bev Leonard of Williston; paternal grandfather, Dan Hagen of Alexandria; maternal great-grandmother, Esther Tofte of Williston; paternal great-grandparents, Deloris Hagen of Alexandria and Kenneth and Doris Norlien of Kensington; maternal aunts and uncles, Christina (Leonard) and Troy Olson of Mandan, ND, Shelly (Leonard) and Bill Pierce of Williston, and Mindy Leonard of Dickinson, ND; paternal aunts and uncles, Dane and Tanya Hagen of Alexandria, Derek and Roxanne Hagen of Alexandria, DeAnn (Hagen) and Brian Wehking of Morris, and Desi Hagen of Alexandria; and also 17 paternal and maternal cousins.
Maxson was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Diane (Norlien) Hagen and his infant maternal aunt, Stephanie Rae Leonard.
