Snyder named most valuable freshman for Central College volleyball

Former Alexandria volleyball standout Maggie Snyder continued her success at the college level this past fall.

Former Alexandria volleyball standout Maggie Snyder continued her success at the college level this past fall.

In her freshman year at Central College in Pella, Iowa, Snyder was named the team’s most valuable freshman. She also earned her first varsity letter after helping her team with 388 assists.

The first-year setter also chipped in with 13 kills, 15 ace serves and 119 digs. Her .910 serving percentage was good for 10th all time on the school’s single-season leaderboard.

Her play helped guide the Dutch to their 16th consecutive 20-win season. Central finished with a record of 21-15, while going 6-2 in the Iowa Conference.
