The 19th annual Radiothon to End Child Abuse organized by Alexandria radio stations KIK-FM 100.7 and Cool 94.3 is under way at Pete's County Market. People can make a pledge or bid on silent auction items by calling 866-875-4685. The Radiothon runs through tomorrow, Friday, at noon. Proceeds will benefit the Douglas County Child Abuse Prevention Council and other child advocacy groups in the area. The Echo Press donated $1,000 toward the cause, with proceeds from its Most Personable Baby Contest.
