It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Alexandria. Workers from Alexandria Light and Power put up holiday lights across Broadway on Monday. The lights will be turned on during the “Christmas in the Fort” festivities today, Friday. The gates to the Runestone Museum’s Fort Alexandria will open at 3:30 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 3:45 p.m., followed by the Zion’s Children Choir and the Jefferson Carolers. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be available. Toys, mittens and caps will be collected for the Jingle Bells telethon.
