Cross country: Area runners at state meet
Knight Kyle Toms and Lakers Madi Sachs and Halle Christianson run well in Class A races
West Central Area sophomore Kyle Toms finished 44th in the State Class A cross country meet Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield, running a 17:14.8.
Senior Moses Heppner of Warroad captured the Class A championship with a time of 16:08.2.
Minnewaska eighth grader Madi Sachs finished 26th in the State Class A girls’ division with a time of 15:27.2, while freshman Halle Christianson finished 46th in 15:48.1.
Defending champion, senior Linda Keller of Paynesville, ran a 14:38.2.
