Former Alexandria hockey standout Andrew Olson is well on his way to eclipsing the 14 goals he scored last year during his freshman season at the University of Connecticut.
Olson was named Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week recently after scoring four goals, including two game winners, in the Huskies weekend sweep of Army on October 24-25.
Olson had six points in the two games, including a hat trick in the second game of the series to secure a 6-3 win. That hat trick came against 2007-08 Atlantic Hockey Player and Goaltender of the Year Josh Kassel.
Through four games this year, Olson has scored half of the Huskies goals with six. Only Air Force sophomore Jacques Lamoureux has more with eight goals.
