Armed robbery reported at Stop-N-Go

An armed robbery took place in Alexandria early Thursday morning.

The Alexandria Police Department received a call at 12:42 a.m. from Stop ‘N Go at 915 Broadway. The caller said that the store had just been robbed at gunpoint.

The suspect reportedly entered the store and demanded money from the clerk working behind the counter, holding the clerk at gunpoint.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and was believed to have run on foot eastbound from Stop ‘N Go.

The suspect is described as a male approximately six feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The incident remains under investigation.
