Workshop offers help for families dealing with mental illness

A one-day family education workshop that provides families with information on mental illnesses, practical strategies for dealing with the complexities of these diseases, and hope for recovery will be offered in Alexandria.

A one-day family education workshop that provides families with information on mental illnesses, practical strategies for dealing with the complexities of these diseases, and hope for recovery will be offered in Alexandria.

“Hope for Recovery” will take place Saturday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Douglas County Hospital Education rooms east and west, 111 17th Avenue East.

There will be coffee in the morning provided by Douglas County Hospital. Lunch will be available for purchase in the cafeteria.

The workshop is free of charge, but pre-registration is requested.
