University Women invite public to watch, discuss presidential debate

The Alexandria area chapter of the American Association of University Women will host a debate-watching party and discussion on Wednesday, October 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Glenwood State Bank.

The Alexandria area chapter of the American Association of University Women will host a debate-watching party and discussion on Wednesday, October 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Glenwood State Bank.

The debate, which begins at 8 p.m., will be projected on a large screen. This event is intended as an informal, non-partisan opportunity to engage in the political process and discuss the issues. Pizza and soda will be served. The event is free and open to the public.

Founded in 1881, the American Association of University Women has more than 100,000 members in 1,300 branches across the United States. Its mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
