Girls' tennis: Wilkins, Hartsell also advance
Not only will the Cardinal girls send their squad to the Section 8AA tennis team championships, they will have one squad in the individual portion of the tournament as Emily Wilkins and Eve Hartsell earned a fourth place to advance as well.
Not only will the Cardinal girls send their squad to the Section 8AA tennis team championships, they will have one squad in the individual portion of the tournament as Emily Wilkins and Eve Hartsell earned a fourth place to advance as well.
The two Cardinals won their first match 6-2, 6-1 over a Little Falls duo, then downed a Fergus Falls pair 6-3, 7-5.
They fell to Bemidji’s Suzann Nordquist and Jamie Hoffman 6-1, 6-0, then fell to Zoe Houle and Emily Nelson of Brainerd 6-1, 6-0 to finish fourth.
The top four individuals all advance.

Annie Trebelhorn def. Justine Haukebo, Detroit Lakes, 6-1, 6-1; fell to Mikinzee Salo, Brainerd, 6-2, 6-0.
Rachel Ziegler fell to Kelsey Bretschneider, Bemidji, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
(DOUBLES)
