National gourmet food direct seller Tastefully Simple and its independent consultants will donate more than $124,000 to the American Cancer Society as part of its recent participation in the organization’s Relay for Life.
Tastefully Simple’s nationwide consultant effort raised more than $70,000. As part of the campaign, the company agreed to match up to $50,000. The match brought the total contribution to six figures – a success that garnered the Tastefully Simple Relay for Life team National Corporate Team status for 2009.
Sixty-one Tastefully Simple consultant teams (683 participants) took part in this year’s campaign that culminates with “Relay for Life” events, where teams gather at local high schools, camp out and take turns walking or running around a track. Relay for Life, launched in 1985, is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event.
