It took four games, but the Osakis Volleyball team earned another Prairie Conference win Tuesday night when it traveled to Browerville and took care of the Tigers.

The Silverstreaks won the first two games 25-13 and 25-17 before Browerville found some life and forced a game four with a 25-20 win. Osakis had to hold off the Tigers in the fourth, but it took care of business with a 25-22 win.

“We started off very strong tonight,” head coach Kirsten Wessel said. “It was fun to watch the offense click together. Our passing was tremendous, too. By the third game, we lost the steam in our offense, but were able to find it again for the fourth game.”

Stacey Kern had a strong all-around game on Tuesday night to help lead her team to the win. Kern racked up 29 assists and 17 digs, while going 10-for-10 at the serving line. Kari Ludwig and Steph Massmann were the main recipients of her assists with 12 and nine kills, respectively. Alicia Wagner also helped out at the net with six kills, and Kathleen Mork chipped in with four.

“It’s fun to see these girls work out problems on the court together,” Wessel said. “We’ve got a big week ahead of us, so we will be continuing to find ways to stay focused and strong throughout a match.”
