The Ashby volleyball team outlasted Henning in five games on Monday night as the Arrows rebounded from a tough early season loss to Parkers Prairie last week to pick up the win.
Emily Johnson had 34 assists, and Alisha Sethre and Amanda Johnson both had 19 kills to lead Ashby to the win over Henning. Alyssa Mickelson also played strong at the net with five blocks and six kills.
“[She] played her best match thus far,” head coach Brenda Johnson said. “In the fifth game, she dominated net play. Our back row continues to keep balls alive and they work hard. Matches like these build character. We hadn’t gone five games yet and now the girls know we can win in five. The girls played like a team when the match was on the line.”
