Parent training on children's mental health set in Alexandria

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Human Services are teaming up to offer free parent education trainings around the state on evidence based practices in children’s mental health.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Human Services are teaming up to offer free parent education trainings around the state on evidence based practices in children’s mental health.

The training discusses treatment options in children’s mental health, including common behaviors in children; how to document behaviors, the state diagnostic assessment tool, and practices that have been researched to be effective for children and adolescents.

The next training will be held September 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Alexandria at Douglas County Hospital, 111 17th Avenue East, in the board room.
