Highway 114 between Douglas County Road 4 and Highway 55 closed to through-traffic at 7 a.m., Monday, August 11, for a culvert replacement project.

The closure will be in place until August 29.

Motorists will be detoured around the closure using Highway 55 to Highway 29 to Douglas County Road 4. Local access will be available up to the construction area from the north and the south. However, access through the construction site will not be permitted.

The closure is necessary so that crews can reconstruct the culvert that spans the Chippewa River.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. For statewide traffic, construction and travel information visit www.511mn.org or call 5-1-1 or log on to www.mndot.gov.
