Osakis man arrested in connection with Todd County burglaries

The Todd County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest and recovered items that were reportedly stolen in two burglaries this month.

The Todd County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest and recovered items that were reportedly stolen in two burglaries this month.

Owners of a residence in Little Sauk Township reported burglaries on July 8 and July 21.

While investigating, deputies discovered that on the day of one of the thefts, a concerned citizen saw a vehicle leaving the residence that didn’t belong in the driveway.

The citizen was able to get a good description of the vehicle and the driver as well as the license plate, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies later arrested Donavan Pawlicki of rural Osakis in connection with both burglaries.

Two search warrants were executed in rural Osakis and most of the stolen items were recovered, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incidents are still under investigation and charges were pending against Pawlicki through the Todd County Attorney’s Office.

Authorities urge citizens to watch for suspicious activity in their neighborhoods and to contact law enforcement if they see something suspicious. They added that without the help from the concerned citizen in this case, it’s doubtful that the items would have been recovered.
