A four-wheeler crash near Garfield injured three children Monday morning.
The accident happened at about 10:45 a.m. on 39th Avenue in LaGrand Township, northwest of Garfield.
When Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, they found that the four-wheeler had left the gravel roadway and crashed into a utility pole.
The driver, a 9-year-old girl, was transported by North Ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital. Air Care was called but it’s not known if the girl was transferred to another medical facility.
Two passengers, a 7-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, were both transported by personal vehicle to the hospital.
Since the names of the children have not yet been released, their conditions are unknown. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the crash.
