A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Alexandria City Hall, 704 Broadway.

Staff will give a presentation discussing the city’s stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP). The goal of the SWPPP is to restore and maintain the chemical, physical and biological integrity of public waters through management and treatment of urban storm runoff.

The SWPPP contains best management practices for the following six elements: public education and outreach, public participation/involvement, illicit discharge detection and elimination, construction site stormwater runoff control, post construction stormwater management, and pollution prevention/good housekeeping for municipal operations.

The public is encouraged to attend this meeting and provide comments. Please note that written comments following the meeting are also encouraged.
