Day camps offer adventuresAll area youth are invited to have fun exploring the world around them, hop aboard the magic school bus, experience the world of magic, join along in the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss, learn about wild animals and spend a day at the county fair.

These adventures are all part of the Minnesota Extension Service, 4-H Youth Development Youth Day Camps.
The camps will be held on Wednesdays, July 2-30, at various locations throughout the county for youth that have completed grades K-4.
Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a registration fee of $7 per person. Youth are asked to bring their own sack lunch for the noon meal to all of the camps.
“I Spy” day camp is on July 2 at the Brandon School. Campers will explore the hidden treasures of the world around them with games, crafts and fun.
On July 9, campers will hop aboard the magic school bus to see what adventures await during the “Magic School Bus Adventures camp” at Alexandria City Park.
At the “Harry Potter and Friends” camp at Osagi Park in Osakis on July 16, campers will experience the world of magic and potions.
“Dr. Seuss Extravaganza” day camp will let kids explore the colorful world of Dr. Seuss with games, songs and activities on July 23 at Alexandria City Park.
At “Where the Wild Things Are” camp on July 30 at the Evansville School, day campers will explore wild creatures and nature.
The “Charlotte’s Web” day camp is on Friday, August 15 at the Douglas County Fair. There will be crafts, games, and fun learning.
