Volunteers are needed at this year’s Vikingland Band Festival.
Youth ages 11 and older are needed to carry banners during the parade, which is set for Sunday, June 29.
Those who have signed up to carry a banner need to check in at the parking lot on the west side of Broadway between 3rd and 4th Avenues at 12:45 p.m.
The parade starts promptly at 1:30 p.m.
Volunteer banner carriers are asked to wear black shorts, white T-shirts and comfortable shoes.
Participants will be walking from 4th Avenue up to 15th Avenue and will be carrying a long pole with a banner attached to it.
A beverage will be provided at the end of the parade when you drop off your banner.
Banners will need to be dropped off in the parking lot of Wales Hearing Center on 15th Avenue.
The parade usually lasts about three hours. When the students arrive at check-in, they will be given an approximate time as to when they will walk.
Parents need to make arrangements with their children as to where and when the child will be picked up.
Supervision will not be provided at the end of the parade route.
