TLHD's 'Quilters' begins June 17

Special family packaging is available the first Friday night of each play during the season. Call the box office for details.

Theatre L’Homme Dieu (TLHD) is proud to present its first production of the 2008 season – “Quilters.”

Performances for “Quilters” are scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 through Saturday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 24 through Saturday, June 28.

Tuesday through Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. There is a matinee at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 26.

Tickets for the 2008 season are $20 for adults and $10 for children 16 and younger.

New this year is a $2 usage fee per ticket. The fee is designed to help pay for costs such as building renovation, grounds improvement, new programming, replacements and upgrades.

There is also a $1 fee for shipping and handling for tickets and vouchers that are mailed.

“Quilters,” by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, will celebrate Alexandria’s Sesquicentennial with a musical journey to the past.

Blending original music with traditional hymns and folk songs, this production will present a series of vignettes that chronicle the lives, dreams and struggles of America’s pioneer women.
