After starting the season on a 10-game losing streak, Alexandria reeled off four straight victories. A 62-52 loss to Rocori on Monday night extended another streak that the Cardinals would rather reverse.
“It was a close game all the way [until] the end, when the Spartans hit eight free throws to seal the win,” head coach John Holsten said. “
It was the seventh straight loss for Alexandria as they fell to Rocori for the second time this season.
Connor Illies led the Cardinals with 16 points, including four of eight shooting from behind the three-point line.
Steve Conley and Charlie Warnes also did their part in trying to halt the recent skid of the Cardinals with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
It was not enough, though, as Alexandria dropped to 3-12 in the CLC.
