Yvonne Louise Fults, daughter of Lewis and Dora (Goerish) Fults, was born July 22, 1932 at the family home near Sanborn. She moved with her family to rural Donnelly in 1940. She attended Country School District #7 through the eighth grade and later West Central School of Agriculture in Morris. Vonnie’s love for animals began as a very young child and continued to grow thru her entire life. She began milking eight head of cows in the early 50’s and developed it into a successful herd numbering over 50 head. Her love of animals extended beyond her dairy herd which was evident in all aspects of her life. Vonnie never married and lived her entire life on the family farm, where she devoted her life to taking care of her parents until their deaths. She liked being around people and loved to visit. She showed her love for God through her love of animals, dedicating her life to the care of her livestock, cats, dogs and all Gods creatures.
Vonnie died on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 76 years.
She is survived by three brothers: Darryl (Joan) Fults of Florida, Virgil (Theresa) Fults of Morris and Steve Fults of rural Donnelly; nine nieces; five nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew: Bobby Joe Fults.
