Memorial services for Jodi Lynn Hagen of Alberta will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris.
Memorial services for Jodi Lynn Hagen of Alberta will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Reverend Dell Sanderson will be officiating. Visitation will take place Friday in conjunction with the scheduled benefit at the Morris American Legion in Morris from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at Frog Lake Cemetery, rural Alberta at a later date.
Jodi Lynn Wells, daughter of Willis and Dorothy (Anderson) Wells, was born Dec. 30, 1964 in Morris, where she grew up and was baptized on Feb. 7, 1965 at Peace Lutheran Church by Reverend Victor J. Schmidt. She began her schooling at Morris Public Schools through the 7th grade and then transferred to Chokio-Alberta High School, where she graduated in 1983. She continued her education at Willmar Vocational Technical School for two years. On June 15, 1985, she was united in marriage to David Hagen. The couple made their home south of Alberta. Jodi began working at West Wind Village following college, where she continued to work for 23 years. Jodi also served as City Clerk for the City of Alberta for many years.
Jodi enjoyed fishing, watching car races, playing bingo and spending time on Lake Hattie. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jodi died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at her home in Alberta. She lived to reach the age of 43 years.
She is survived by her husband: David Hagen of Alberta; mother and step-father: Dorothy and Frank Farwell; sisters: Peggy Lesmeister of St. Peter and Diane Wells of Hancock; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dean and Ginger Hagen of Alberta; brother-in-law: Ken and (Julie) Hagen of Cambridge; sisters-in-law: Michelle (Dan) Machart of Finley, N.D and Jackie (Mark) Holslin of Alberta; her black lab: Molly and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father: Willis and brother-in-law: Stephen Lesmeister.
Honorary pallbearers for the service are Jodi’s nieces and nephews. JoAnne Foley will serve as organist for the service with Lisa Cain serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
