Spruce Hill log church was built in 1881 with wooden planks for seating and an upright log for the pulpit. The present church was completed in 1902.
The pulpit was hand carved by Pehr Christianson, installed in the church in 1899, and later moved into the present church.
The Douglas County Historical Society is in charge of the church’s operation. Bequests and donations fund its upkeep. For more information and directions to the church, call the Douglas County Historical Society at (320) 762-0382.
