More than 60 Minnesota organizations were nominated to receive a 2013 BOLD Award, with 15 being selected as finalists.
Douglas Scientific was the only innovation finalist from outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
The ACG Minnesota BOLD Award shines a spotlight on innovative, inspirational organizations and the teams that made their bold moves possible.
The BOLD Awards celebrate those who accept the challenge to make bold bets on behalf of their companies.
Since its commercial inception in 2009, Douglas Scientific has experienced growth with its Array Tape Platform in the field of laboratory automation technology.
The development and creation of disruptive technologies catapulted Douglas Scientific into the global market, growing from three employees to 80, building additional facilities in the Alexandria community, and expanding instrument deployment into 14 countries on several continents.
Douglas Scientific and other finalists were recognized at the BOLD Awards event on February 26, with award winners being announced at the event.
