Letter - Law-abiding citizens offended by letter
I am responding to the letter to the editor in the March 20 issue of the Echo Press by Chris Ray, titled “Don’t take your guns to town.”
To the editor:
I am responding to the letter to the editor in the March 20 issue of the Echo Press by Chris Ray, titled “Don’t take your guns to town.”
Mr. Ray, I respect your right of free speech, our First Amendment right, but I was embarrassed by your disrespect of our neighbor’s Second Amendment rights, by making fun of a law-abiding fellow citizen.
I am sending this to the Alexandria area newspaper and I hope you will send a letter to their editor with your apologies directed to that law-abiding, gun-carrying citizen and to anyone else who may have been offended by your letter.
