State Senator Torrey Westrom was recently appointed to the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) by Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk.
The purpose of LCCMR is to make funding recommendations to the Legislature for specific environment and natural resource projects. The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) predominantly funds these projects.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues on ways to financially address the state’s natural resource needs,” said Westrom. “Being on this commission will allow me to help prioritize Minnesota’s environment and natural resource projects in a prudent and cost effective way.”
The LCCMR is made up of 17 members. There are five senators, five representatives, one citizen appointed by the Senate, one citizen appointed by the House, and five citizens appointed by the governor.
