Carol Lynn Becker, 63, Carlos, died suddenly on Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home.

Carol Lynn Becker, 63, Carlos, died suddenly on Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home.

Carol was born September 22, 1949 in Richmond, Wisconsin. She was the 11th of 14 children born to Myron and Myrtle (Wieland) Brown. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Church in St. Paul. She graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul.

On September 26, 1972, Carol was united in marriage to Gary Becker, and they were blessed with two children, Shawn and Robin. The couple lived in St. Paul for a couple of years and then in 1974 moved to Carlos.

Carol held various jobs during her lifetime, which included running a daycare when her children were young, being a nurse’s aide, a factory worker and did the bookkeeping for the family business – Gary Becker Cabinets.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and visiting with her sisters, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them with her love.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Shawn (Jen) Becker of Hutchinson and Robin Oistad (Jeremy) of Dilworth; grandchildren, Mikenna, Ben, Caden and Kaylee; sisters, Shirley (Harold) Greenwood, Lucy (Milton) Gibbs, Sharon (Ken) Theis, Beverly “Jean” Brown, Debra (Bill) Frison, Christine (Scott) Bailey, Pamela (Ron) Daas; brother, Dennis (Jan) Brown; brother-in-law, Alan Becker; and sister-in-law, Sherry (Ken) Nerpl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dave, Richard, Duane “Bud,” Dale and Warren “Butch” Brown.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, March 20 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
