Lakeside Ballroom to be featured on TV program March 24

Pioneer Public Television is premiering new episodes of Postcards beginning Sunday, March 24 at 7 p.m. with Historic Minnesota Ballrooms, featuring Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood.

Pioneer Public Television is premiering new episodes of Postcards beginning Sunday, March 24 at 7 p.m. with Historic Minnesota Ballrooms, featuring Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood.

This episode will tell stories of those who attended Fiesta Ballroom in Montevideo before it burned down in the 1960s. Then it will tell the history surrounding Lakeside Ballroom and the Lakeside Dance Club, celebrating its 13th anniversary this year.

The new episode will rebroadcast on Monday, March 25 at 1:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. on Pioneer.

The 20 local productions of Postcards capture the stories about Minnesota art, history and cultural heritage, with funding provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Pioneer can be viewed on KWCM Channel 10 in Appleton, KSMN Channel 20 in Worthington and UHF Channel 49 in Fergus Falls.
