Engaged - Duchon and Navratil

Anna Duchon and Andrew Navratil, both of Miami, Florida, announce their engagement.

Anna is the daughter of Kip and Genia Duchon of Decatur, Georgia, and a 2002 graduate of Decatur High School. She graduated from Carleton College in Northfield in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology.

She currently works for YMCA of Greater Miami as a senior membership and marketing director.

Andrew is the son of Doug Navratil and Rhonda Navratil, both of Alexandria. He is the grandson of Gene and Ruth Baker of Alexandria and the late Richard Rude and the late Robert and Grace Navratil.

He is a 2003 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria and a 2007 graduate of Carleton College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. This summer, he will begin a Master’s in Educational Leadership program at Teachers College, Columbia University.

He currently works for Teach For America in Miami as a director of teaching and learning.

An October 19, 2013 wedding is planned at Woodlands Garden in Decatur, with a reception the following week in Alexandria.
