State Class A swimming: Three individuals, two relays advance to finals

Cardinal senior Kris Aaseng made the cut for the finals in the 500 freestyle event during the preliminaries in the State Class A swimming and diving meet Friday afternoon.

Aaseng finished third in the prelims with a time of 4:49.98, 9.84 seconds behind top seeded Tanner Alms of Red Wing.

Also making the cut were:

200 MEDLEY RELAY - 12. Zac Bartolomeo, Elliot Jacobson, Mark Kallevig, Sean Norheim 1:43.33.

200 FREE - 10. Kris Aaseng 1:46.20.

500 FREE - 10. Aaron Pietrowski 5:01.25.

200 FREE RELAY - 12. Eric Moe, Kyle Blank, Max Jacobson, Kris Aaseng 1:31.47.

100 BREASTSTROKE - 10. Elliot Jacobson 1:01.47.

Not making the cut for the finals:
