Born Learning Trail coming to mall

The Born Learning Trail is being installed at Viking Plaza Mall. It is an opportunity for parents to interact with their children, offering them something to do that will be a fun, educational experience.

The trail is a series of signs that will be placed on the floor in the center of the mall commons. Adults and children can walk along from sign to sign, playing and doing activities.

Viking Plaza Mall, United Way, Herberger’s, Book World, D Michael B’s, Glik’s, JC Penney and maurices have teamed up to bring this activity to the community.

A ribbon cutting is set for March 16 at 1:30 p.m. Families are invited to come out to celebrate the trail and to try it out. Refreshments will be provided.

United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties is committed to alternative ways of engaging children and their families in educational activities.
