The stories of the Bible will come to life with The Bible 30-Day Life Experience at Catalyst Church in Alexandria. The program is based on the weekly TV miniseries The Bible, being shown in March on The History Channel and Lifetime.
Those in attendance will experience the power and drama of the Old Testament, the compassion of Jesus’ life, the pain of his crucifixion and the triumph of his resurrection.
The 30-Day Experience includes 10 a.m. family worship and Catalyst Kids times with age-appropriate learning and fun every Sunday in March at Woodland School, 1410 South McKay Avenue, Alexandria.
Catalyst is one of hundreds of churches nationwide to present this 30-Day Experience. It will bring the Bible to life with video clips from the TV miniseries produced by the Emmy Award-winning husband and wife team of Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor) and Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel).
“This is a great opportunity during the weeks leading up to Easter to bring people together to watch the television miniseries, hear relevant teaching, do some self-directed study and discuss and reflect on God’s Great Story and its application to our everyday lives,” said Steve Eng, lead pastor at Catalyst.
In addition, the community is invited to join others in area homes during the week for viewing parties and discussion groups.
