Ski or snowshoe on candle-lit trails February 23

Lake Carlos State Park near Alexandria will host a candlelight event on Saturday, February 23.

Attendees may ski or snowshoe on trails illuminated by candles or luminaries and warm up around a fire or enjoy snacks and refreshments provided by event sponsors Bike and Fitness Company and Subway of Alexandria.

There are 3.5 miles of ski trail and 1.5 miles of snowshoe trail. Both are suitable for beginner-level skiers or snowshoers of all ages. A vehicle permit is required to enter Minnesota state parks ($5/one-day permit or $25/

year-round permit). There is no additional charge to participate in this event.

This event may be changed or canceled due to weather.
