Letter - Some shovels designed for light snow

It never ceases to amaze me to see people in snow country trying to shovel a three-foot drift with a piece of tin fastened on a stick.

To the editor:

It never ceases to amaze me to see people in snow country trying to shovel a three-foot drift with a piece of tin fastened on a stick. Those things were designed to push off a light dusting of snow on a sidewalk.

Have mercy on yourself and get a grain shovel. In deep snow, you can form cubes with it and lift out half at a time.
