Boys' basketball: Minnewaska falls to top ranked Melrose

The No. 1 ranked Class AA team was too strong offensively for Minnewaska Friday night as the Laker boys fell to Melrose 95-61.

Scottie Stone had 33 points, including 6-for-8 from three point range, and Isaac Sawyer had 31 in the win.

Minnewaska got 15 points from Jake Amundson, who hit 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, while Austin Giese added 10 points.

The Lakers are slated to host Hillcrest tomorrow, Thursday.
