Miltona woman injured in snowmobile crash

A local woman was injured in a snowmobile crash near Miltona over the weekend.

On Saturday, February 16 just after 4 p.m., a snowmobile crash was reported near 15955 County Road 3 in Spruce Hill Township.

Kelly Louise Irish, 47, of Miltona, was injured after she reportedly slid off the snowmobile she was driving as she passed through an open gated area. She collided with the gate and suffered internal injuries, according to law enforcement.

Irish was taken to Douglas County Hospital and later airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

As of Monday morning, she was listed in satisfactory condition.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Miltona First Responders and North Ambulance responded to the crash.
