Card wrestling: Alexandria falls in Section 8AAA semi finals

The Cardinal wrestlers ended their team season in the semi finals of the Section 8AAA team wrestling tournament Saturday afternoon, falling to top-seeded Moorhead Spuds 41-24.

The Cards opened tournament action with a 40-27 win over Sartell. Moorhead captured the section title with a 37-28 win over second seeded Little Falls and will advance to the state team tournament at the Xcel Energy Center February 28-March 2.
