Pastor to present 'Path to the Cross'

Pastor Dan Baker, director of Mount Carmel Ministries in Alexandria, will present “Path to the Cross” each Wednesday from February 20 to March 20 at 7 p.m. at Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria.
This five-part study will explore how the history and faith of Israel prepared the way for Jesus and his act of obedience and sacrifice at the cross. The class incorporates high definition video shot on location in the Holy Land.
Prior to the class, Shalom will host a community supper at 5:30 p.m., open to the public, followed by a 30-minute worship service at 6:30 p.m. Shalom youth will lead the worship around the theme “Have a Heart for Hunger.”
Corliss Stark of the United Way of Douglas County Pope Counties will speak. The public is invited to attend all or part of each Wednesday’s activities.
