United Way’s 2013 Beer and Wine Tasting Gala promises to offer more variety of wines and specialty beer. The gala will be held at Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center near Alexandria on Friday, February 22 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Sponsored by H Boyd Nelson and Goose Island, this year’s event will include a variety of more than 50 domestic and imported beers and wines to sample.
Several new craft beer distributors are set to attend. Central Lakes Restaurant Supply will introduce attendees to making their own beer and wine.
An array of light hors d’oeuvres will be provided by vendors including Arrowwood, Weston Station, Great Cravings, Pete’s Deli and the Garfield Diner. Music by Doug Tatge and Tim Cochran of Sound Idea will set the mood for the evening.

All proceeds from the Beer and Wine Tasting Gala will support the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties 2012-13 Campaign.
